Good Company is a Toronto‑based violin-guitar duo of Dr. Clara Haneul Yoon and Drew Henderson, two internationally recognized artists whose combined expertise spans performance, research, digital media, and contemporary arrangement. Formed in 2025, the ensemble is dedicated to expanding high‑quality repertoire for violin and guitar and to creating performances that challenge long‑held assumptions about genre, listening, and musical hierarchy.

Violinist Dr. Clara Haneul Yoon, praised by New York Magazine for her “extraordinary technique…she can do anything she wants…” and by Seoul Culture & Arts Magazine as “truly virtuosic, with amazing mastery of tone,” has performed at major international venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Smetana Hall, and the Seoul Arts Center. Her interdisciplinary research examines stereotypes in music, specifically how genre conventions, performer identity, and concert presentation shape audiences’ listening, attention, and evaluation.

Guitarist Drew Henderson is a performer, arranger, and recording artist whose digital presence has become one of the most influential in the classical guitar field. His YouTube channel, produced entirely by him, has reached more than 80,000 subscribers and over 18 million views, featuring performances on 6‑, 7‑, and 8‑string guitars and original arrangements of major repertoire. As a producer and recording engineer, his work has appeared on labels including Decca, Naxos, and Analekta, with releases reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Classical Chart.

As a relatively new ensemble, Good Company has quickly built a dedicated following across both live performance and digital platforms, with recent TikTok and YouTube videos reaching more than 80,000 viewers in three months. Their most recent recording was broadcast on CBC Radio. Good Company’s work brings together Clara’s research‑driven approach to listening and the duo’s shared expertise in arrangement, with production led by Drew. Their programs present new and reimagined repertoire that highlights the expressive range of violin-guitar music through thoughtful arrangements and cross‑genre collaborations.

Offstage and on tour, the duo’s routine relies on their mutual necessity for strong espresso, whole-wheat sourdough, a shared love of dogs (check out Drew’s Sheepadoodle Coco here!) and horror films, with their mandatory tradition of pre-performance bananas.

Clara and Drew’s full individual biographies and YouTube channels can be found in Bio and Watch tabs.
